Sootica was just 7 weeks old when she joined our family. Her name comes from the book 'Gobbolino the Witches Cat'.

As a young cat, Sooty enjoyed exploring outside. She would spend time with her friend Tiggy, the grey cat who also lived in the close. She had a playful streak and liked to chase our feet!

After spending many years as an only cat, Sooty took the arrival of our other cats, Abby (in 1994) and Lollipop (in 2004), in her stride. As an older cat she spent more of her time inside with occasional outings in the back garden. Sooty loved being combed and enjoyed our company more & more in her later years.

Unfortunately, her advancing years and poor health in recent months took its toll, and at the grand age of 18 we had to say goodbye to her. Sooty was very special to all of us and we will miss her so much.     Click here for a video clip of Sooty
